Blood Pressure Medication

The side effects are sometimes the first thing we think about when we are faced with medication and the same goes for medicationto control Hypertansion.

I bet there aren't many of us that read the info leaflet that comes with our medication and if we did, we would probably think that the potential side effects were harder to live with than the thing they were treating.

This is not to say that if you take these medicines that you will suffer all the possible side effects stated or indeed any of them it just means it is a possibility and you would be pretty unlucky to suffer them all. So what can you do, is there an alternative.

There are plenty of natural products that can help treat a lot of our health problems, but Doctors dismiss them and Pharmaceutical Companies tell us they don't work. Ever wondered why, Well I wonder if it has got anything to do with Money by any chance. There are far to many medications handed out without to much consideration and certainly without any thought of natural alternatives.

All medications including Blood Pressure medication should be the last thing prescribed. Alternatives need to be exhausted first and possible lifestyle changes are the first thing to be considered. it is surprising how simple adjustment to how we live on a daily basis can have a sizeable impact on bringing down High Blood Pressure.

Our Governments release many campaigns about many important issues and that is great. In my opinion they should have a Blood Pressure campaign, the media is a powerful thing and they should be helping people to understand the dangers of undetected High Blood Pressure. There are to many people that are walking around unaware that they have High BP.

Before we are given any medication to treat Hypertension and endure the possibility of any side effects, we have to look at more natural options and lifestyle changes that will help treat this condition.

What you should be thinking about now is to get a Blood Pressure test, you might feel perfectly OK, but that doesn't mean that your Blood Pressure is normal. It can be high without you knowing. If it does happen to be high, the next thing to do is to search out the things that can reduce it without going onto prescribed drugs.

As a side note to that there are cases where medication is unavoidable. Your Doctor can explain this but if not then you should be given the option to try and lower it naturally yourself before any kind of medication is involved.
