Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects vs Advanced Seal
Pro Effects vs Advanced Seal - can't decide between them? You're not alone. Do not worry though, as you'll know which is for you after you read this.
Pro Effects:
2005 marked the beginning of the Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects package, but they were not called Pro Effects; they were called Premium Plus. Crest had a Premium package that was stronger than their Classic Whitestrips, and it came with a seven-day supply. Crest decided that people might want more than the seven days, so they created the Premium Plus package.
This package is the same thing as the Premium package, meaning that it comes with the same strength of strips (the strips contain ten percent hydrogen peroxide). However, the Premium Plus package includes a ten day supply. This will whiten your teeth even more than the Premium package.
Somewhere along the line, though, Crest decided that they did not like their product's name. Perhaps "Premium Plus" sounded too dull, or perhaps there was some other reason. Whatever the reason, Crest changed the Premium Plus package's name; it's new name was "Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects."
The Advanced Seal Whitestrips:
Several users of Whitestrips complained to Crest about the strips sliding off their teeth. When this happened, it spilled bleach into their mouths, and they could not help but swallow some of it. Other times, it slides off and spilled bleach onto the tongue or gums, causing them to burn. Ouch!
A user of the Classic package, the Daily Whitening Multicare package, the Daily Whitening Multicare with Tartar Control package, the Professional package, the Renewal package, the Premium package, or the Supreme package would experience this problem; all Whitestrips had this problem.
Crest decided that enough was enough, so they came out with their newest product, Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal. These strips are the only ones that do not have this problem. These strips stay PUT. They actually stay in place so well that they are difficult to get off at times!
Another problem with the Whitestrips family of products was that using it would prevent you from doing much else. For those thirty minutes twice per day, you could not do much but sit. You could not eat, drink, or smoke, because the strips would fall off. With the Advanced Seal strips, you can do those things.
Advanced Seal Whitestrips contain the same amount of hydrogen peroxide as the Pro Effects strips. They also come with a ten day supply, like the Pro Effects.
In a nutshell, there is only one difference between the Advanced Seal and the Pro Effects Whitestrips, if you exclude the name and packaging: the Advanced Seal strips will stick to your teeth and won't prevent you from living for those thirty minutes.
The newer Advanced Seal product is the better product. It is recommended over the Pro Effects under any circumstance. The only reason one might want to buy the Pro Effects is if he or she finds them at a significantly cheaper price than he or she can find the Advanced Seal for. Otherwise, go with the Advanced Seal Whitestrips.
