Curing Type 2 Diabetes — New! At Last, Cure Diabetes Now

The news about how to cure diabetes will come as a shock to the medical Establishment. But the science is now in after years of denial. Medicine has supported low-fat eating for decades, but we realize now that it did not work:

* obesity rates continued to climb with more than 70% of the population overweight

* diabetes rates climbed along with obesity -- they're usually coupled

* no one connected the dots to see that it's actually carbohydrates that cause diabetes

You heard it here first -- fat and cholesterol were never the cause of diabetes and obesity. It was carbohydrates that were doing the damage. This statement will rattle the entrenched dogma. Why did all the brainiacs not know this? Because belief systems drive medicine. It tells us that facts do, but that is patently false.

What was the logic in its thinking? Bone simple: eating fat would lead to fat accumulation in the body. But... the factual biochemistry is that carbs become the fat on your body, not fat.

Are you shocked? We've all been deluded because no one took the time to understand the basics. It was known by 1950 that the body aggressively converted carbohydrates to fat.

Starting during the early 2000's explosion of interest in low-carb, young, unbiased researchers set up some very good experiments to study the diet. What was the outcome? The results disproved all the negative statements that had been made during the last four decades:

* the low-carb diet out-performed the low-fat diet and the Mediterranean diet in weight loss and fat loss

* sugar in the blood dropped whereas there was no change in the low-fat diet group

* fat levels in the blood dropped because of low-carb eating

* the low-fat diet could not hold its own against low-carb as it won hands down

Diabetics can improve health and cure diabetes by following a low-carb diet. Changes occur rapidly, in less than 12 hours, as the body switches fuels from burning sugar to burning fat. It no longer needs much sugar. This is a fact not understood by the medical Establishment.

Associated with diabetes and obesity is Metabolic Syndrome which is characterized by:

* overweight and obesity

* disturbances in both fat and sugar metabolism that cause diabetes

* heart and vascular diseases

* high blood pressure

Current research suggests that a carbohydrate-reduced diet may be the first and most effective choice for patients with Metabolic Syndrome and diabetes. If you are normal but suffer from these symptoms, then reducing carbohydrates is the only effective non-pharmacological choice.

Low-fat was never proven to be healthful and low-carb was shown to be a great health improver. Unfortunately, no one read this research completed during the last 50 years of the 20th century. Claims were just made about the dangers of eating diets higher in fat (although followers of the low-carb diet actually don't eat more fat).

A low-carbohydrate diet is part of our human heritage. Eating lots of carbs is a very recent change in eating habits and it was a mistake to go down this road. Let's follow a properly designed low-carb diet. Dr. Atkins's is poorly designed and most people fail in using it. The South Beach Diet isn't a low-carb diet and works poorly as well.
