The reason, it was concluded, was because the fat blocked out the capacity of the heart cells to absorb the helpful fats in the fish oil.
The study was done on rats that already had heart failure so it's hard to know if we can extrapolate the results to people who have no preexisting heart problems and who take Omega 3 supplements.
