Fucoxanthin Is The Belly Fat Burner From Japan

According to the World Health Organization, there are more than 1.6 billion overweight people in the world. Thus, it is not surprising that new methods, new treatments, and new formulations are always being discovered in the weight loss industry, the latest of which is the natural chemical compound known as fucoxanthin.

One of over 600 known carotenoids, which are naturally present in plants and photosynthetic organisms, fucoxanthin can be found in various brown edible seaweeds like wakame and hijiki although varieties of red seaweed and green seaweed also contain it in smaller amounts. With its light absorption characteristics in the blue-green to yellow-green spectrum, it is responsible for the brown to olive-green hues of the brown seaweeds.

In clinical studies conducted at the Hokkaido University of Japan, fucoxanthin in brown seaweeds, particularly in wakame, promotes weight loss by burning the fats present in the major internal organs like the heart and liver. This is especially true for the abdominal area where white adipose tissue is abundant, which means that oversized guts can be a thing of the past.

From the Hokkaido University mouse study, other researchers have followed suit with human studies and with amazing results. The individuals who received fucoxanthin achieved an average of 14.5 pounds in just sixteen weeks while those in the placebo group only lost 3 pounds in the same period.

And these weight loss results have been proven in clinical trials. Two groups were formed, the control group and the placebo group, which were then provided with concentrated doses of fucoxanthin and the placebo pill, respectively. The control group members lost an average of 14.5 pounds in just 16 weeks while the placebo group members lost just 3 pounds in the same time frame. In addition, fucoxanthin raised metabolic rates by an average 18.2% and averaged 11.8 pounds in body fat loss. With other weight loss treatments, these amazing results would not have been possible, not to mention safe and effective in the long-term.

However, it is not just as an effective weight loss treatment that fucoxanthin have been proven to provide health benefits. Its antioxidant properties have shown great promise in the bodys natural protection against heart diseases, neurological illnesses and cancer brought by free radical damage. It even promises to become another natural drug against diabetes mellitus because of its ability to boost insulin sensitivity.

Furthermore, fucoxanthin provides other equally important health benefits in addition to weight loss. Because of its antioxidant properties, it can also help in protecting cells from free radical damage that lead to heart disease, neurological damage and certain forms of cancer particularly prostrate cancer. Indeed, it has been shown in preliminary studies to have anti-tumor properties.

The best thing about it is its non-stimulating characteristic. Where other weight loss pills can induce nervousness and sleeplessness, and as ephedra has proven, death, this is a safer alternative because it speeds up metabolism but does not act as a stimulant. Thus, the individual can continue to work and play at the normal rate; say goodbye to jitters and sleepless nights while losing weight and belly fat.

Though there are very few recorded side effects associated with fucoxanthin, medical advice is necessary for those suffering from thyroid-related problems. The high amounts of iodine present in seaweed can worsen these problems, even become life-threatening. Truly, weight loss is safe and effective when fucoxanthin is used properly and appropriately.
