Getting Me and Lisa on Some HCG
So if you've been paying attention you know that this is the 6th article in the series that will give you all the details as I go about my own HCG diet. I've already gone through the research phase. I've already chosen who I'll order from and what to order. And I've already started bullying my friend, Lisa, into doing the diet with me as added incentive (with a side bet involving a new pair of jeans). As of this morning she hadn't called back to confirm so I immediately started a harassment campaign intended to get her to agree to my plans.
So I called. That's the first step in any harassment campaign. The gist of the problem was that her husband knew someone (barely) that had tried a similar diet. And this person didn't think it was effective. Therefore he didn't want Lisa wasting any cash on it. I bugged and bugged until I got them to cough up the detail that the product this "someone" used was called Mediral HCG Detox. That didn't sound familiar to me so I figured it didn't have anything to do with HCG Diet Direct. Just to make sure I contacted them to verify.
HCG Diet Direct confirmed my suspicions that the Mediral HCG Detox was not the same thing that they worked with. It was made by a completely different manufacturer. They also went on to say that Mediral HCG Detox was an older product that some distributors still carried, but that the manufacturer had actually come out with recent, updated products in their line. So it seemed obvious to me that we were in the clear. You can't use a review of one product as a positive or negative reference for a completely different one!
It's the perfect argument for getting Lisa back on my HCG dieting team (of two, but whatever!) I called Lisa back and told her to tell Jay that Mediral HCG Detox was something totally different and he was going to have to come up with some other reason to keep her from following through on her decision to join me on the diet. So...after a bit of muffled back and forth man/wife discussion while I waited patiently on the phone, she's back in!
And we've decided tonight is the night. Well...not THE night. We're not starting the diet yet. But we are ordering the products. After that we need to decide when we're starting the actual diet. We want to compare our calendars and try to make it as easy as possible (meaning that we'd like to find a time period of 25 days between big family events, without holidays or large required social gatherings). It's probably impossible, but we're going to give it a try anyway.
No matter which start date we choose we've got to have the HCG products so we're getting it ordered and shipped out ASAP! I'm kind of excited because when I pointed out to Lisa that I was also going to order the B-Total Sublingual she declined saying that she didn't think she needed it. I have to admit that I'm secretly excited that I've got an unfair advantage over her. It just ups the odds that I'll win the new pair of jeans that is the prize for our side bet. A little competition is always healthy, right?
