Is Acne Treatable? The Truth

by Mary B Murphy

Millions of teenagers and adults suffer from acne. They stress daily and try everything to cure this horrible unsightly condition. What most dont know is, THERE IS NO CURE. You can improve your skin condition and even hide acne with makeups, but you cannot totally cure it.

So what can you do with your acne? To start, stop stressing about it! I know you hate it, it's embarrassing and it's costing you a fortune, stressing will not help the problem. Even more important, stressing could cause your acne to get worse! You don't want that, right?

Make sure you eat properly. Stay away from greasy junk foods. Fruit and Veg are great for nourishing not only your body but also your skin and mind. Next time you reach for that greasy McDonalds, just think of all the damage you are doing to your skin.

Shop around for products but don't fall for every product that's released. Different products have varied results on people and skin types. Make sure you purchase non oil based products so your pores can breath and remove dirt etc.

The most important property of a skin care product is whether it's oil or non-oil based. The former is really bad for your skin as it clogs your pores and prevents your skin from ridding of oils and dirt.

Most product vendors like to boast if their product is non oil based so you should have no problems finding this on the labels.

When you have persistent acne, avoid trying to treat it yourself. Since acne is complicated, getting advice and treatment from a dermatologist is recommended.

Expensive treatments such as laser therapy are great, but you should certainly try less drastic and costly approaches first. It's also a good idea to do some allergy tests to make sure the products you are using don cause more damage.
