Is This Why You Aren’t Building Muscle?
When you step into the gym and those gym doors close behind you, what do you do?
Do you prepare for that workout?
Do you have your log book with you?
Do you know exactly what you're going to do and how you're going to improve?
I bet you go to the gym because you want to build muscle and burn fat. You want a better looking body, a body that performs better, and one that feels great. If you want all of that, you MUST improve each and every workout. You must lift heavier weights, and/or do more reps on every exercise. You must strive for improvement.
Now, in order to improve each and every workout, you must develop a specific mindset. And you must get your mind in shape for each and every workout. If you are serious about building muscle, you must develop this mindset.
Do you think it's easy to improve every workout? Do you think you can just step into the gym and get better each and every workout? No, it isn't easy. Weight lifting is a war against the weights. You must develop a certain strong and powerful mindset to get better.
If you really want to make progress, you need to listen to what I have to say. I went years wasting my time, money, and effort so I know how it feels.
You've got to develop the warrior mentality. A switch must turn on inside you when you step into the gym. When that switch comes on, the warrior inside you comes alive. You then know that when you leave that gym, you will be victorious. You know you did everything in your power to build muscle.
When those gym doors shut behind you, there's absolutely no turning back. You are now in the middle of the battle arena. It's you against the weights. You don't turn back. You don't quit. You draw your weapon (your log book), and you give everything you have. The time is now.
Sure, weight lifting is tough. It's even tougher when you battle the weights each and every workout trying to lift heavier or do more reps. But, you have to prove to your body that it needs more muscle to survive the next workout. Do that, and you will build muscle!
During each and every set you perform there will come a time in which you must make a decision. Your mind will be telling you to stop. Your mind will tell you that this is just too much to handle. The truth is: Your body can do more. If you stop when your mind tells you to stop, you'll never build muscle. Would a warrior stop the set?
NO. Hell No. A warrior does not quit. It doesn't matter what it takes. A true warrior will do whatever it takes to win the battle. A warrior laughs at pain and wants more. Victory is near. Never stop fighting.
Do you have what it takes to develop the warrior inside you? We all have that warrior hiding inside of us. If you find him/her hiding inside, bring him/her out during those weightlifting workouts, and I guarantee you'll build more muscle than ever before!
