The muscle responsible for facial expressions as well as your neck, throat, and jaw line is the platysma muscle. When you bend your neck backwards and forwards you stretch the platysma muscle. How do you get a double chin? A double chin is formed when excess fat is stored and accumulated in the chin region causing it to sag.
