However, the benefits are not just limited to the more active amongst us. Vegans, vegetarians and people who follow diets and do not eat meat, eggs and dairy products will find the acai berry provides them with necessary vitamins, proteins, minerals and antioxidants sometimes lacking in their usual diet.

What makes this berry special? The contents of acai berries are said to remedy some ailments and health problems. Major ingredients in acai include fibre, protein, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, iron and ORAC as well as Vitamins B1, B2, B3, C and E. It also includes the fatty acids, Omega 6, Omega 9, and phytosterols, sterols, unsaturated fatty acids, anthocyanin, and polyphenols.

The berry is healthier than blueberries, eggs and pomegranates and those consuming it will feel the benefit by way of relief with arthritis, body cleansing, and reduction of heart, digestion, inflammation, immunity and skin problems. As well as a general feeling of well being, there is also likely to be a rise in energy and stamina levels.

The berry aids digestion and protects the heart by combating stress and thus minimizing the chances of heart disease. Naturally, this is great for professionals or those who are studying.

The above mentioned facts are probably the reason that many athletes and celebrities in Australia are now devoted to the acai berry and speak highly of the remarkable way in which this little gem has affected their performance and their daily lives.

Layne Beachley, World Surfing Champion, exclaims that Amazon Power Acai "offers the best sustenance" for her training workout as well as her surfing competitions. It keeps her satisfied throughout the day, but it is light and easily digestible. She also likes the sweet flavour and its natural contents. Since her diet is restricted due to numerous food allergies the Amazon Power Acai has the nutrients, vitamins, proteins and antioxidants she needs to replace other foods that she is unable to eat.

Chris Friend, Pro Junior Surfer and Runner-up ISA Amateur World Champion, also speaks very highly of Amazon Power Acai and says it gives him power to train and "surf at 100% intensity." It is his regular good tasting breakfast food, and he snacks on the berry during the day too.

The fruit itself is similar to a sweet blueberry, with a hint of chocolate in the taste. As a juice, a puree, a powder, in capsule form, or simply as the berry itself, it will give an energy boost whilst at the same time helping to alleviate many health concerns.
