The OneTouch UltraSmart Glucose Monitoring System – Fast and Comfortable!
Would it be nice if you had an simple meter, the best testing strips and useful charts automatically made to allow you to completely understand your blood sugar levels? Now with the OneTouch UltraSmart Meter, you may have it all!
The OneTouch UltraSmart works in a similar way to several meters. You insert a test strip into the meter test port. The device will then confirm the code from the testing strip and prompt you to test the code number after twenty-five tests. After you have verified the code, get a sample from the tip of your finger and apply it to the end of the test strip till the confirmation window is full. Your results are read in five seconds and then they're automatically stored in in the meter iteslf. This means no more toting around a glucose diary. Your meter tracks everything instead!
And it does even more! The OneTouch UltraSmart is really smart! It's more than just a meter as it helps you understand your blood sugar results so you can make healthy choices to manage your diabetes. The OneTouch UltraSmart provides you with nine different charts and graphs to help manage your diabetes.
This includes:
- Current v. Average : This data compares your new test result to your 14-day average at that time of day as well in comparison to the last test result taken.
- Logbook: The logbook is a digital version of a regular blood sugar journal that tracks the date and time of the test with your notes on medications, food, health and exercise. You do not need to key in the date and time of your tests, the meter tracks that information mechanically. Users will however, need to enter in all info in the notes field.
-Glucose by Meals: This list allows you to look at your results based on whether they were taken before or after meals, sorted by the date of the test.
- Graph of Results: This graph allows you to take a look at all your results, organized by day.
-Graph By Time of Day: This graph is interactive and lets you see and research your test results by time of day. For instance, this would let you see all your test results taken at 3 p.m. Over the past 14 days in graph form.
- Average of All Results: This data shows you the number of tests you have completed and the averages of all of your testing results over the period.
- Average By Time of Day: This data shows you the number of tests you have finished and the averages of all your glucose results by time of day over the period of time you have utilised the meter.
- Glucose Range Data: You can use this info to check the number and proportion of tests, above, inside or below an OK blood glucose range.
- Hypo Info: You may use this data to research the number o hypoglycemic events around mealtimes and at night.
