Using a SmokeFree Is A Heartfelt Choice

The tobacco industry will not disclose all of the chemicals their products contain. However, we do know that according to the Surgeon General's Report, that cigarette smoke contains the following chemicals: carbon monoxide, benzene, acetone, hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxide, formic acid, acetic acid, nicotine, ammonia, benzolpyrene, tar, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Are tobacco companies going out of their way to find harmful substances to put in their products? It certainly appears that way.

Consider these sobering facts: Literally seconds after taking a puff, or chewing or dipping tobacco, the cardiovascular system is placed under incredible stress. Nicotine rushes into the bloodstream and starts doing damage. The pulse races an additional 15-20 beats per minute and the blood pressure rises substantially. These effects continue for several hours after the product is used. This is equivalent to going for an all day jog!

As bad as that seems, it only gets worse from there. Carbon monoxide the odorless invisible killer, invades the body and begins robbing the red blood cells of approximately 16 percent of their oxygen carrying capacity. The nicotine continues to attack the body as well by constricting arteries by 50 percent and reducing blood flow to the heart by 25 percent. For tobacco users with existing artery blockages, this can prove fatal.

Take heart! Within 30 minutes of stopping smoking, the chance of death from cardiovascular complication drops dramatically. In only a few days, the body cleanses the nicotine from the cardiovascular system and with it the pulse and blood pressure are reduced and coronary artery spasms begin to subside. Also, red blood cells carrying carbon monoxide are replaced with new oxygen carrying ones. Within a few months, all of the damaged cells are replaced! Energy levels are increased dramatically.

But it's hard to quit right? Maybe not. A new visionary company, Health e-Choice located in Ashland Virginia has answered this problem by introducing the SmokeFree, an electronic cigarette that simulates the act of smoking. Instead of nicotine the disposable cartridges contain water, propylene glycol (a common food additive approved by the FDA) and flavoring. Currently the cartridges are available in three flavors: green tea, tobacco, and menthol. The cost of each cartridge is approximately $2.00 and is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes. Not only is the Smoke Free a healthy alternative but a substantially cheaper one as well.

Smoke Free users have reported as much as a 75 percent drop in traditional cigarette smoking after only a couple of weeks of using the SmokeFree. The SmokeFree produces a harmless water vapor that looks like regular smoke, but dissipates quickly and poses no threat to the user or those nearby.
